Amanda is a certified social worker and substance abuse professional who has been working in addiction and mental health counseling since 2005. She received her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Northern Michigan University in 2006 and her master’s degree in social work from Campbellsville University in 2019. She holds certifications as a Certified Social Worker, Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor and Autonomous Domestic Violence Batterer Intervention Provider. She has worked in Detoxification, Partial Hospitalization, Inpatient and Outpatient substance abuse service settings, with the past 11 years focused on outpatient mental health and substance abuse. Services she provides include individual counseling for mental health, substance abuse, anger management, trauma, domestic violence victim counseling, and a women’s Domestic violence Batterer intervention program.
Originally from the frozen North in Michigan, she has been a resident of Louisville, KY since 2013 and had adjusted well to the southern hot summers by gardening, hiking and trips to Kentucky Kingdom. With a love of learning combined with a passion for education, Amanda is known for assisting clients with finding personalized adaptive life strategies.
